JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Internal Audit department, located in downtown Baltimore, is currently seeking a paid, Summer 2007 Intern for their Financial and Operation audit group.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for the following: assisting Senior Auditors in the performance of audit test work; assisting Senior Auditors in identifying areas of recommendations; and conducting day-to-day Internal Audit activities. Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in an accounting or auditing career and should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Information Technology. Coursework in Auditing and Intermediate Accounting is required, and Information Systems/Technology experience is a plus. This person must have proficiency in MS Word and Excel, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and an inquisitive nature. Interns must also be able to commute to our downtown Baltimore location several times per week as a time commitment of 35 hours per week is expected. EOE.
