Americans United is seeking a Web Applications Intern to
lead the development of an online tracking system for church-state separation violations. The system will be implemented by the AU Legal Department as a repository for storing and tracking progress on potential violations, collected from various sources, including web forms, emails and phone calls. The intern will be responsible for all phases of product development, from initial project specifications through testing and deployment, with assistance from the staff of the Online Communications Department. The project promises to be fast-paced and
exciting, with rapid versioning and direct user input.
Qualified candidates will be working toward an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, as well as a strong interest in
church-state separation.
The Web Applications Intern will have the unique opportunity of overseeing an intensive development project, which could potentially evolve into an open-source initiative to be implemented by other, like-minded organizations.
