Community Service Opportunities!

Exciting "Mapping the Community Project" Information Session/First CORE GROUP Meet & Greet on Friday, April 13th, 12 p.m. - Fine Arts, Room 107. Come learn more about carefully researched and designed maps that can educate the public and cause social change. Middle and High School students from Baltimore City and county schools collaborate with UMBC Cartography students from the Department of Geography and Graphic Design students from the Department of Visual Art to research and create maps that focus on important issues in their community. This is a Service-Learning Program in collaboration with The Shriver Center, and begins September 1, 2007.
