Great Summer HR Internship for Business Related Majors

Summer HR Programs/Wellness Internship

Performs administrative functions for the HR Programs and Wellness areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist with publicity of the Wellness program activities and classes to encourage associate participation. Activities include:
Create posters and ensure visibility in each location.
Create and edit E-mail blasts, working with corporate communications to ensure timely delivery.
Assist the Manager and Wellness Coordinator in writing and editing intranet articles.

Create and maintain the corporate Wellness calendar relative to associate classes and educations sessions.

Assist in the scheduling and logistics of all Wellness activities including scheduling appropriate room space, ensuring vendors are contacted and arrive when scheduled and ensuring all appropriate information is included in communications to associates.

Assist with the distribution of any materials.

Work with vendors to obtain all relative data for wellness related corporate programs and activities, including tabulation of results with reporting on participation and evaluation of appropriateness of program.

Support Healthways initiatives during open enrollment (on-site screenings).

Provide support to organize and file all wellness related correspondence, including but not limited to programs, OSHA, Workers Compensation, Ergonomics, and ADA.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field. This position requires strong PC skills, including knowledge of all Microsoft Office software. Applicants should have good research and analytical skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Professional behavior and appearance and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.

Applicants must be available to work full time during the summer, work a minimum of 25 hours during the school year and be willing to travel to other CareFirst locations (no overnight trips are expected).
