GE needs CMSC and CMPE interns

GEHC Technical Interns work on a variety of assignments with responsibilities and hands-on involvement in areas such as Design/Development and Manufacturing/Sourcing. Additionally, exposure to key management personnel is integrated into the project-oriented assignments where a manager and mentor are assigned for support.

Position Description:


Assignments in Design/Development may include using CAD design systems, trouble-shooting hardware/software, and designing/testing/debugging new functions/features.

Basic Qualifications:
- 3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better
- Able to work for a minimum of 12 weeks in the Summer term, and 15 weeks in the Fall or Spring term
- Must be willing to drive to Laurel, MD
- Must be pursuing a degree in Engineering
- Must have Unrestricted Authorization to work in the US (please see below for details)

Desired Characteristics:
Preference will be given to those pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, and:

- High self-confidence
- Solid interpersonal skills & communication skills
- Leadership experience
- Initiative
