Materials Research Intern - NEED ASAP

Blue Wave is looking for interns who are highly motivated and like to develop technical skills in electronics, vacuum technology, electronic materials, and thin films and develop knowledge for future research interest. Looking for current undergrads seeking a degree in physical sciences and Engineering. Interest in working with CAD software and conducting experiments in a cutting edge technology environment is a plus.

We will train you in the usage of laser and nano deposition systems, high vacuum systems and technology, and other equipment associated with materials research. Experience not required but preferred. Because several of our contracts are with defense companies we can only accept US or permanent resident citizens for this position.

2008 SUMMER INTERNSHIPS OFFICE OF RETIREMENT AND DISABILITY POLICY SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION

The Office of Retirement and Disability Policy of the Social Security Administration (SSA) is currently accepting applications for summer internships. Projects involve current and future issues for retirement and disability, such as the analysis of economic/social well-being, labor force participation, financial literacy, benefit applicants, work incentives, international policies, non-citizen issues, authentication, and evidentiary standards.

Description: Applications will be accepted from currently registered undergraduate or graduate students. A 9-week minimum full-time commitment is expected. Academic credit with the educational institution is possible if the school coordinates with SSA. The salary range is $13.60 - $18.85 per hour, depending on education level and experience.

Looking for an internship this summer? Do you want to fatten up that resume a little bit? Do you want to potentially get paid AND possibly earn credit for it?

The UMBC Shriver Center can help you answer all of those questions. The Shriver Center has MANY PAID and UNPAID INTERNSHIPS available for ALL majors this upcoming SUMMER and we need students to fill them. We currently have over 500 listings.

Internships are important to obtain admission to graduate school and to find a position after graduation. You gain experience and are almost certainly eligible to earn upper level credit by interning 8 to 10 hours per week.

Once you meet with a coordinator, The Shriver Center will send your resume to organizations that interest you. In other words, we'll do the mailing and employer outreach on your behalf.
