The Division of Information Technology of the Archdiocese of Baltimore is looking for a research assistant to work on summer projects with the Manager of Information Research and Decision Support. These projects will be data intensive in nature.
The position will be located at 320 Cathedral Street, Baltimore, although there will be some limited travel to libraries and other research institutions in the Baltimore area. Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and the position will pay $12/hour. Parking is included.

II. MAJOR DUTIES
• The research assistant will conduct directed research and data analysis on assigned projects.
• Assigned projects will include creating and modifying spreadsheets and Microsoft Access databases as well as developing reports and bibliographies.
• Directed research products may be narrative or statistical.
• Assignments will require coordination with other personnel to obtain necessary information, either already in existence or which must be restructured.
• The research assistant must be able to clearly present findings and to evaluate alternatives in both written and spoken forms.
• This position requires an individual who is comfortable performing fact-finding research, verification of data, quantitative and/or qualitative analysis of voluminous material.
• This position will report to the Manager of Information Research and Decision Support within the Division of Information Technology.
