Software Engineer Intern needed at Raytheon

Raytheon Information Solutions (RIS) seeks a Software Engineering Intern at our Riverdale, MD facility in support of the National Data Exchange (N-DEx) Development team. Help configure COTS products and perform prototyping for Increment 2 development. Perform small coding assignments fixing defects in Increment 1 which will be operational. Learn about the formal development process used in developing systems for the government including working from requirements to design to code. Additionally, learn to use software CM system to check out code, make changes, test fixes and check code back into baseline. Required Skills:

Required Skills/Knowledge:

Good communication skills. Currently enrolled as a junior/senior in good standing in one of the following majors (or related technical disciplines) with a 3.0 or higher GPA:

Software Engineering

Computer Science

Information Systems/Decision Sciences

Electrical Engineering

Qualified applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Desired Skills:

Ideal candidate will have Java programming experience and exposure to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Oracle. Internship experience in related industry is helpful.
