PAID Service-Learning Leadership Position Available!

A leadership position is available this fall at Project Team, one of the service sites through The Shriver Center. Project Team was founded by Jason Woody (UMBC '04) in honor of one of the 9/11 victims named Deora Bodley. Project Team works in area community centers (Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs) throughout the region, bringing volunteers out twice a week to lead various teamwork and leadership development activities. It has expanded nationally and is now entering the 6th year at UMBC. For more info about Project Team, go to http://www.dbpt.org/

It takes place Mondays and Wednesdays, 4-7 pm and will begin mid-September until mid-December 2008. There is a $500 stipend, as well as a transcript notation for service-learning. Interested candidates should contact Clare Greene, Service-Learning Coordinator of Community Partnerships at The Shriver Center at clare6@umbc.edu or at (410) 455-2493.
