JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Internal Audit department in downtown Baltimore is currently seeking paid spring and summer 2009 Interns for their Financial Operations and IT Audit Group.

The qualified candidate will be responsible for the following: assisting Senior Auditors in the performance of audit test work; assisting Senior Auditors in identifying areas of recommendations; and conducting day-to-day Internal Audit activities. Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in an accounting or auditing career and should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Economics, Economics or Information Technology. Coursework in Auditing and Intermediate Accounting is extremely beneficial, and Information Systems/Technology experience is a plus. This person must have proficiency in MS Word and Excel, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and an inquisitive nature. Interns must also be able to commute to our downtown Baltimore location several times per week as a time commitment of 15 hours per week is expected for spring interns and 35 hours per week for summer interns.
