GE is hiring engineering interns for Summer 2009 for their Laurel, MD Healthcare Facility.
Position 1: GE Healthcare Operations (UMBCworks ID: 9229490)
Operations assignments could include (a) core operations and fulfillment activities which may consist of Lean Action Workouts, Accessory Planning, or Capital Equipment order fulfillment (b) sourcing activities such as working with the engineering department and outside vendors and suppliers on materials. There will be project-oriented assignments where a manager and mentor are assigned for support.
Position 2: GE Healthcare Engineering/Technical Intern (UMBCworks ID: 9229489)
GE Healthcare Technical Interns work on a variety of assignments with responsibilities and hands-on involvement in areas such as Design/Development and Manufacturing/Sourcing. Additionally, exposure to key management personnel is integrated into the project-oriented assignments where a manager and mentor are assigned for support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Majors desired: Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
Minimum GPA: 3.0
Work Authorization: US Citizen, US National or Permanent Resident
Graduation date: December 2009 or later
