Washington Internship Program Info Session on Monday, 10/20

Representatives of the Washington Internship Program will be holding an information session at The Shriver Center (1st FL of Public Policy) at UMBC on Monday, October 20th from Noon-1pm.

The WASHINGTON INTERNSHIP PROGRAM -- a combination of work and study -- places college students and graduates in top-level internships in our nation's capital. Here are just a few among thousands of places where interns in the program have worked:

United States Congress and Senate, NBC, The White House, U.S. Commerce Department
Foreign embassies, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Smithsonian Museums, Saks Fifth Avenue, Democratic/Republican National Committees, Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, etc.

Students are placed according to their career goals and areas of interest. Interns have worked in such fields as government, the media, business, law, scientific and arts organizations, public relations, journalism, criminal justice, advertising, medicine, international relations, environmental studies, human rights, publishing, and psychology, among others.
