Apply for a Summer Internship at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts!

Wolf Trap's Internship Program provides project-based training and experience to approximately 40 interns annually. Interns become integral members of the staff working side-by-side with professionals producing, promoting, and administering all aspects of the performing arts.

Summer internships are offered in the following departments:

-Communications and Marketing - Multimedia, Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising /Group Sales, Web Communications, Publications, Public Relations, and Photography
-Education
-Planning and Initiatives
-Development
-Grants Management/Foundation Relations, Major Gifts, Annual Fund, Special Events
-Program and Production
-Accounting
-Wolf Trap Opera Company - Directing, Administrative, Stage Management,
-Technical Theater, Scenic/Prop Painting, and Costuming
-Ticket Services
-Information Systems

Designed for college students, summer internships are paid, full time (40-plus hours per week) positions and 12 weeks in duration.

Housing is the responsibility of the student, although guidance in this matter is available. Wolf Trap Interns are required to have a reliable mode of transportation as the Wolf Trap Foundation is not accessible by public transit.

Fostering Diversity: The diversity components of the Wolf Trap Internship Program were developed to encourage young African American and Hispanic/Latino students to make a difference in the arts world by facilitating their entry into the profession of arts management. The program fosters mentor relationships between interns and Wolf Trap Foundation's diverse Board of Directors, experienced administrators, and other outstanding local and national representatives within the business and arts communities. Participants in the program's diversity components also receive free housing and transportation throughout their internship.
