EduSerc is looking for qualified candidates to serve as an Engineering Project Assistant for EduSerc's Young Innovator Summer Program initiatives. Candidates for this position must possess excellent communication skills and have prior experience teaching and reaching youth.
Every summer, EduSerc manages a Young Innovator initiative in a
community to provide youth with marketable corporate experience in a particular industry. The candidate selected for this position will be responsible for teaching, assisting and supporting a six week engineering task for 30 students between the ages of 15 and 18. The candidate will assist a project lead with the development, execution and management of the engineering project and coordinate community service activities for each student participant. Other tasks may involve the following (but are not limited to):
building and programming electrical circuits & robots
designing and building physical models or structures
teaching & mentoring students on professional development
managing community service activities
teaching basic concepts of engineering
This is a part-time summer position (roughly 24 hours/week), paying $17/hour.
