CAUSEfest! Get involved at UMBC's National Volunteer Week, Monday, April 20th-Sunday April 26th!

UMBC is hosting its 2nd National Volunteer Week, Monday, April 20th-Sunday April 26th. There are numerous events both on and off campus during this week supported by staff, faculty, and student groups in which your participation is greatly welcomed.

Support several outreach efforts to youth from at-risk environments that are coming onto campus (MATHS Charter School College Mythbuster or Paul's Place Kids). Attend either the American Red Cross Benefit Concert or the Sarcoma Fundraiser Dance. Join a panel of alums from various volunteer organizations regarding post-graduate service opportunities. If you can't make an event, donations are also greatly welcomed and can be given separately through the contact info listed. Meet new community partners seeking support through volunteers and/or resources (Unite for Sight welcomes old eyeglasses) at CAUSEfest, supported by the Office of Undergraduate Education and The France & Merrick Scholarship Program through The Shriver Center. Other confirmed community partners are 100 Black Men of America, The Living Classrooms Foundation, Relay For Life, and Incentive Mentoring Program. For a complete list of community partners and/or ways to help, please go to http://www.shrivercenter.org/service_france.html
