Computer Science Students: Great opportunity for work/research on campus

The UMBC Department of Biology has a great research opportunity for a Computer Science student.

This is a research internship in a computational biology lab. Research will be focused on the development of neural network-based methods for the identification of patterns in genomes and other biological sequences.

The student should posess:

Proficiency in C++ programming

Interest in and basic knowledge of biology

Knowledge of AI and machine learning methods (CMSC 471, CMSC 478)

Good writing skills
