Killer PAID Music Business Internship!

Quickstar Productions in Baltimore is looking for an intern who wants to learn the music biz!

The responsibilities of the intern would be focused on helping with tasks such as client scouting, client management, and contract negotiations. Students would gain experience in handling clients for the acquisition through the sales process with email and phone interactions. General office duties like product preparation and shipping, as well as proofing and interoffice relations would apply periodically. If applicable, the intern would handle tech based operations such as graphic design elements and music mastering. The intern would also closely shadow the B2B manager to completely understand the day to day operations of a company, as well as the problem solving and quick thinking skills required to run a small business. Position pays up to $8.50/hour and requires a minimum of ten hours a week.

Fall 2009 Stipended Federal Internship Opportunities

Opportunity:
15 weeks internships with a federal agency to include but not be limited to one of the following: U.S. Department of Commerce, Environmental Protection Agency, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Health and Human Services, and Department of Treasury.

Accepted students receive scholarships covering the cost of The Washington Center for Internship and Academic Seminar’s program and housing fee for living in TWC’s furnished housing facilities for the duration of their stay. Additionally, students will be provided with a stipend.

Application Requirements for All Federal Internship Opportunities:
• US citizenship;
• Available for a fifteen-week period beginning September 2, 2009;
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a related field, with preference given to qualified undergraduate students;
• Undergraduate students must receive credit for participating in this program
• Good academic standing as defined by the college or university in which the student is enrolled;
• Demonstrated experience and/or strong interest in working for the federal government.

How to Apply:
Students should fill out an online application at https://secure.twc.edu. Students will be asked to create a login name and password. On the first page, they should select “Internship” in the drop down menu. On the second page, they should select that they are interested in Option 2, “Government Scholarship Programs”. Students are asked to fill out our Department of Commerce Application, even if they are interested in other federal opportunities, as we are currently in the process of updating our other application materials. They will still be considered for all federal opportunities for which they are eligible. There is no application fee for our Government Internship Programs. If students are prompted to provide payment information, they have selected the wrong internship application and should go back to page 2 to select “Government Scholarship Programs”.
