The Walden Community Center works with youth in Baltimore and they are preparing to welcome them back to school with a field day event - and they need your help!
What: Field day and back to school celebration at Walden Circle Community Center
When: Saturday August 29th, 2009, 11am – 3pm
Where: Walden Circle Community Center, 2 Walden Birch Court, Baltimore, MD 21207 (Carpool is available for volunteers who need a ride.)
Volunteers are needed to help run some of the field day events: face painting, sidewalk murals, bubbles, chess tournament, bike decorating contest, dance contest , limbo, art table, 3-legged race, water balloon toss, basketball tournament, spoon and egg, dodgeball, musical chairs, scavenger hunt, soccer, and spelling bee.
Please contact Kelly Biscuso (kellybiscuso@gmail.com) if you are interested in helping out. There will be a planning and logistics meeting in preparation of the event. If you are not interested in planning, but still want to participate in the day's activities, your help can still be used!
