Find an Internship, Co-op or Research experience with the Shriver Center at UMBC

Last year the Shriver Center helped UMBC students find over 1300 internship, co-op and research positions. Will this be the year that you find one too?

Are you looking for a way to gain experience in your major, earn some money, and possibly even obtain upper level credits?

The Shriver Center can help!

Visit us on the 1st floor of the Public Policy Building or call 410-455-2493 to schedule an appointment with a coordinator who specializes in assisting students in your major. During your first appointment, we will review your resume, help you edit it to ensure that you are marketing yourself competitively, and provide you with a brief introduction to UMBCworks – our exclusive job database and search engine.

If you already have an internship, co-op or research position for this Fall and you want to find out how you can get a transcript notation or academic credit to recognize your hard work, simply call our office at 410-455-2493 to set up a brief appointment to register your placement. Both on- and off-campus positions are eligible for these benefits.

For more information on how the Shriver Center can help YOU, visit our website at http://shrivercenter.umbc.edu/student_howdoigetstarted.html or stop by during walk-in hours, September 8-10, from 9 am - 4 pm. If you come to walk-ins, please be sure to upload your resume to UMBCworks ahead of time or bring an electronic copy with you.
