Learn How to Get Involved with Project HEALTH!

Project HEALTH is an organization that seeks to break the link between poverty and poor health. Though national in scope, Project HEALTH takes a local approach to finding innovative solutions to the health care crisis. We mobilize college students to work in urban community clinics and provide low-income families in Baltimore with access to a wide variety of resources. We also work closely with doctors, nurses, lawyers, and social workers to provide patients with a holistic approach to health care that complements the care provided by health professionals in the clinical setting. Universities participating in Project Health Baltimore include the Johns Hopkins University and Loyola College in Maryland.

UMBC, in partnership with St. Agnes Hospital, has launched a family-resource desk to connect families to community resources critical to their health, safety and economic survival.
