Spring GIS Intern Needed- $18 to $20 per hour

SMRC seeks a spring intern ASAP.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and testing of a web based collaborative system for estimates of hazards related to climate changes. Responsibility will include creation of GIS overlays from distributes data bases, dynamic access to distributed climatological data bases, ability to effectively represent numerical results of numerical models on geographical maps.

The work will require good knowledge of Java, PHP and MySQL running on both Microsoft and Linux platforms. The ideal candidate will have a personal interest in the environment and issues related to climate change.
