JOB DESCRIPTION

180s is currently seeking a summer marketing intern to be part of a dynamic team and fast paced work environment. The position requires an individual that thrives on developing unique ways to market 180s performance products, while working with nationally known retailers such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Macys & Target.
The intern will have the opportunity to learn while working, gaining applicable skills as they assist with projects. While working closely with members of marketing team, potential projects include:
• Website content management
• Maintaining company database
• Public relations support activities
• Marketing & advertising campaign support & analysis
This position reports to the Director of Marketing. Position is unpaid, but eligible for college credit. Flexible schedule, approximately 20-25 hours per week.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Candidate should be capable of initiating and maintaining strong personal relationships. In addition, he/she should be able to coordinate with all the departments involved to ensure the completion of the associated marketing programs. A high degree of organization and self-motivation is required. This person must quickly learn the product and have a solid foundation of marketing practices.
Preference will be given to a Junior-Senior in college working on a business degree (marketing preferred since this will be applicable experience).

QUALIFICATIONS

The skills / characteristics needed to succeed in this position are the following:
- Strong writing skills
- Strong multitasking / organizational skills (will work on multiple projects at once)
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer skills: Word, Excel & PowerPoint is a plus
- Strong work ethic / results oriented
- Takes direction well, but also can manage projects on own
- Creativity (i.e. new ways to market products, online and/or improve marketing processes)
