Job Description: Tax Preparer
Conducts an in-depth interview with the client and obtains all information and material required for tax preparation. Fully communicates to client the procedures, paperwork, and timeframes applicable to the service being provided. Accurately prepares all paperwork and completes all required data entry according to office policy and procedure. May also have the opportunity to perform bookkeeping/accounting duties as assigned
Suzann D Medicus, CPA/MBA, is an adjunct professor at UMBC and is the owner of 7 local Liberty Tax territories. We will have 7 offices this year, all convenient to UMBC’s campus. We offer flexible hours, and understand the demands of college students!
Job Title: Tax Preparer
Salary: $7.00 Per Hour With Significant Bonus at the end of tax season.
Qualifications:
• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior Standing
• Must complete “Rapid Class” (and pass Tax Certification Test) Paid training
• Flexible hours
• Must have basic PC skills
Responsibilities Include:
• Client tax preparation
• Sunday accounting/bookkeeping duties as assigned
• Make and answer follow up phone calls with Customers as needed
• Administrative duties as needed
