5. Many internships, co-ops and research position for Summer of 2011 have application deadlines in the Fall Semester. This means to be competitive, you should meet with a Shriver Center coordinator today to get your resume in shape and to be eligible to apply. BONUS: By applying in fall, you can be the envy of your friends by having your summer internship planned before the start of Spring semester.

4. Are you currently working in on-campus research, a co-op or part-time internship or do you have an internship or research position already lined up for next Spring or Summer? The Shriver Center can help you get academic credit for your hard work and get a notation on your transcript indicating your participation in a university-sanctioned applied learning experience. Transcript notations make you stand out from the competition when you are applying for full-time jobs and graduate school. 3. The Shriver Center has a range of services available exclusively to UMBC students. The Spring semester marks the return of the Shriver Center On the Road series where we take you to see the companies. Connect with your Shriver Center coordinator now to position yourself to get priority for these trips.

1. Now is the time to find a spring or summer internship! UMBCworks has a wide array of part-time, PAID, positions available for the Spring and Summer 2011 semesters, but you need to apply now to be considered. If you don't already have an approved resume in UMBCworks, stop by the Shriver Center on the first floor of the Public Policy Building TODAY to make an appointment with a coordinator.
