Looking for Interns in Cybersecurity to work ON-CAMPUS in the UMBC Research Park

Technology Security Associates, Inc. (http://www.technology-security-associates.com) is a UMBC student intern presently enrolled in cyber security, computer science or information assurance disciplines that is interested in pursuing a career supporting the Department of Defense in the areas of C4ISR security and Anti-tamper of weapons systems and the enterprise-wide networks they operate within.

Applicants must have a solid academic background in basic computer and information assurance security. This opportunity will include enhanced training to build on the academic basics and demonstrate their applicability to real world situations within the Department of Defense.

This particular internship will focus on vulnerability analyses. A project will be assigned to analyze security structures and protocols on a virtual security system to look for vulnerabilities and weaknesses. Intern will gain experience in the application of vulnerability analysis software and will complete a final report / project to present at the conclusion of the internship.

Required Skills: Solid experience with Microsoft Windows operating system. Familiarity with reverse engineering and operating systems internals, especially security components and system mode debugging tools. General knowledge of information security, malware and software protection schemes.

Desired skills: Collegiate-level Cyber Defense competition experience. Experience with DLP tools, familiarity with FISMA reporting requirements, experience with the development of network application analysis, automated executable analysis and virtualization.

Education: Candidate should be in their Junior or Senior year of college or working on a post graduate degree (preferred) at UMBC in the areas of cyber security, computer science, information security, engineering, mathematics or related technical field.

Travel: None

Clearance: This opportunity is unclassified. Candidate does not have to currently have a security clearance but must be clearable. US citizenship required.
