T. Rowe Price Information Architect Summer Intern:

The Information Architect Summer Intern will acquire basic knowledge of information architecture and data integration principles by providing support for the GBS Investments teams. The intern will work with team members with various areas of technical expertise including Business Analysis, Software Development, and Business Intelligence. The intern will have the opportunity to interact with and participate
in the development of deliverables for business customers.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

*Assists with the analysis of data requirements for project tactical requests and the development of the data model deliverables which satisfy those requirements.
This will include exposure to Information Modeling, Data Integration, Information Architecture and Business Intelligence

*Develops soft-skills including oral and written communication, time management, presentation, negotiation, problem solving, and team integration.

*Interacts with the DBA team to implement database changes. Acts as a liaison between the development team and the DBAs, helping to research, troubleshoot and resolve database problems.

*Maintains documentation relevant to the Information Architecture of the project.
Creates custom documentation to meet developer requests. Publishes updated documentation when required.

*Participates in the project change management project, taking responsibility for coordinating the implementation of database changes in all environments.


QUALIFICATIONS

*Sophomore status in college with a 3.0 or higher GPA required
* Knowledge of relational database technology, data warehousing, data modeling and design tools, business analysis techniques or data integration technology are a plus.
*Excellent communication skills including the ability to express technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
*Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; Team player
*Excellent organization and time management skills
