UMBC Women's Event Sponsored by the President's Commission for Women

Registration for the President's Commission For Women (PCW) Spring Event is now open! This year's event is taking place on Thursday, April 7, 2011, from 9 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. in the UC Ballroom. The event is free and open to all members of the UMBC campus!

The theme for the day-long event is "Women's Changing Role in the 21st Century." This event will focus on the changing roles for women in corporate industries, STEM areas, the Humanities, and non-profit arenas. Women from diverse fields will serve as panelists and share their personal journeys including their challenges and successes.

Featured speakers include Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, Dr. Kathy O'Dell, Dr. Michelle Scott, Dr. Penny Rheingans, Dr. Phyllis Robinson, Dr. Janet Rutledge, Ms. Danielle Viens-Payne, Ms. Yasmin Radbod, and Ms. Mollie Monahan-Kreishman. UMBC's own student group, the Stilletos, will also be performing.

Register for a spot at the event by visiting PCW's Spring Event Registration Page. Lunch is included for those who register, and registration will remain open until April 1st.
