The candidate will be an important member of a team investigating the use of new technologies for the targeted delivery of biological reagents to target cells. Under the supervision of an experienced Sci I, the candidate will performing a variety of standard laboratory techniques, including but not restricted to the isolation of lymphotes from whole blood, tissue culture, mRNA isolation, quantitative PCR, in vitro functional assays and ELISA. The candidate will be expected to collate data, interpret and present results to small groups. It is presumed that the candidate will develop their repertoire of laboratory skills, gain knowledge into the processes by which cells regulate their gene expression and function, and how we can/may manipulate them for the development of novel therapeutics.
