Baltimore City Health Commissioner, Dr. Joshua Sharfstein, speaks during Project HEALTH Information Session

We are starting a help desk at St. Agnes Hospital in the Spring semester. We are organizing an information session, in collaboration with the Shriver Center at UMBC. Students will have the opportunity to learn about Project Health directly from Dr. Joshua Sharfstein, Baltimore City Health Commissioner.

Project HEALTH works to break the link between poverty and poor health by mobilizing college students to provide sustained public health interventions in partnership with urban medical centers, universities, and community organizations. Our clinic-based help desks use the doctor's office as a point of intervention to connect families with critical resources, such as food, housing, and childcare.

If you're interested, please come out for more information on February 4th, 12-1 p.m.at University Center, 3rd floor, Room 310.
