UMBC's President's Commission for Women is seeking nominations for the 2008 Achievement Award. This year's recipient will be honored during the spring award ceremony and will receive a plaque and $500 to be used for educational purposes. Nominations are open to all UMBC students, staff, and faculty who:
Provide exceptional service to the University and/or wider community;
Work to promote understanding among people of different groups, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds;
Advocate for the elimination of gender inequality.
