Call for Participation in a Research Study on Error Detection for Speech

Speech recognition represents the future generation of human computer
interaction. We are running a research experiment which aims to discover
how people detect errors in speech recognition outputs in the information
systems department. This study has been approved by the UMBC
Institutional Review Board with the approval number of Y04LZ12149.

The study will take place in the ITE building, room 473, and is expected
to last for 1 hour. You will be compensated for $10 for your
participation.

Participants must be native English speakers. Participants with good
reading, speaking and writing skills are highly preferred.

If you meet the above criteria and are interested in the study, please
contact Yongmei Shi at yshi1@umbc.edu by specifying "Speech Recognition
Research Study" in the subject line. Please also leave a contact phone
number so that we can reach you.

Your support will be highly appreciated.
