BALTIMORE -- University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) President Freeman A. Hrabowski, III delivered the keynote address at the annual conference for EDUCAUSE.

EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. EDUCAUSE seeks to help those who lead, manage and use information resources to make strategic decisions at every level.

President Hrabowski delivered his address, "Why IT Matters: A President's Perspective on Technology and Leadership," October 31 in Orlando, Fla.
