Image by Norie NeumarkThe Visiting Artist Lecture Series and the InterArts Series present Norie Neumark, a sound/radio and new media artist. Her radiophonic works have been commissioned and broadcast by the Listening Room, ABC Classic FM in Australia and broadcast by New Radio and the Performing Arts in the United States. She is an associate professor in Media Arts and Production at the University of Technology, Sydney.

For the past ten years, most of Neumark's new media work has been created in partnership with Maria Miranda; their joint collaboration is known as Out-of-Sync. Their multi-award winning media artwork includes performance, Internet work, installation and CD-ROM. Out-of-Sync's work starts with performative encounters in public places. The works are process-oriented and are a form of searching, both literally and conceptually. The works involve both the encounters themselves as well as sound and video documenting of the encounters.

Admission is free.
