Login & Print Your 1098-T



2007

1098-T INFORMATION


Dear Students,

1098-Ts are in the mail for all eligible UMBC students. This year again, UMBC students have web access to their 1098-T. From the website you will be able to print copies of your 1098-T, make address changes and link to IRS publications.

The following is a list of important things to know prior to logging-in:

  • UMBC school code is 00210500
  • Social Security Number
  • Your Name ID (first two characters of your last name)
  • Your PIN (printed on the bottom of your 1098-T, mailed to you)
  • The first time you go into the site you will be prompted to change you PIN
  • If you have not received your 1098-T or if you have forgotten your PIN, please call
    1-800-223-0043

PLEASE READ THE FAQ BELOW:

What charges are considered "Qualified tuition and related expenses", reported in Box # 2 of my 1098-T?

  • All tuition and mandatory fees (including orientation and matriculation fee) billed in 2007. Billed charges are reported. UMBC does not report on paid charges..

What makes up "Scholarships and Grants" reported in Box # 4 of my
1098-T?

  • All Scholarships posted to your account in 2007, including Pell, Seog and tuition waivers.

Why didn't I receive a 1098-T?

You are not eligible to receive one if:

  • You are an International student.
  • The amount posted to your account in scholarships in 2007 was greater than the amount billed for tuition and mandatory fees in 2007.
