STRUCTURE OF THE CENTER

The CASPR administrative offices are housed in a dedicated building wing of the Technology Research Center at the UMBC campus. That facility also houses the newly constructed Ultrafast Optics & Optoelectronics Research & Teaching Facility.

Projects are generally decentralized, and are conducted within appropriate UMBC departments and laboratories. Investigators are faculty members within the UMBC departments of Physics, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, and Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. The director of CASPR holds dual appointments in Physics and Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
