Eligibility Criteria for the pilot CCCSTEP (which ended with the Spring 2010 semester):

• Entered UMBC as a full time student
• Declared and maintained a major in a program under one of the four CNMS Departments:  Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics
• Achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 from the transfer institution, earned a minimum of 30 completed credits toward Associate of Arts Degree, and received a recommendation from the UMBC Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
• Sign a participation agreement, which clearly details program benefits and responsibilities;
• Participated in monthly CCCSTEP activities, and
• Had at least one academic year at UMBC to commit to CCCSTEP participation
