All full-time graduate students are supported by 12-month research or teaching assistantships with base stipends of $21,000 for Ph.D. students and $17,000 for M.S. students (plus health insurance and remission of tuition charges). A small number of enhanced stipends are available to qualified applicants.

In addition, the department also has a limited number of special fellowships available to qualified students in the form of the a Myerhoff Fellowship or as a part of the Chemistry Biology Interface Program.
