You can easily get to UMBC by automobile, or the Amtrak train and air (BWI) terminals are both 5 minutes away. Please see the visitor information below for directions.

10 minutes south of Baltimore on I-95
30 minutes north of Washington DC on I-95
5 minutes from Baltimore-Washington International airport (BWI) on I-195 to Baltimore
40 minutes North of Annapolis on I-97

Directions to the main campus

From the north, take Interstate 95 to Route 166 (Exit 47B, Catonsville) or take Interstate 83 to the Baltimore Beltway (I-695, west) and then take exit 12C (Wilkens Avenue, west); follow the signs to UMBC
From the south, take Interstate 95 to Route 166 (Exit 47B, Catonsville); follow signs to UMBC
AMTRAK and MARC commuter trains serve the nearby BWI Rail Station
Visitor parking is available at metered garages
