In general, apartments in and around Baltimore are reasonably priced. A number of relatively new apartment developments are located near the UMBC campus in Catonsville and Arbutus. Students should easily be able to find housing within their budgets. A limited number of on-campus living accommodations are also available. On campus, the West Hill, Terrace and Hillside apartments are available to graduate students as well as to undergraduates. Each four-bedroom apartment features single bedrooms, a study/living room and bath. A number of faculty as well as students live in the award-winning town of Columbia, located between Baltimore and Washington and about 10 miles from the University.
