Paper: Multivariate Tests of Uniformity
We examine tests of multivariate uniformity by generalizing univariate uniformity tests using multivariate spacings induced by depth functions and investigate their distributional properties. We also propose two new multivariate uniformity tests based on the normal copula and interpoint distances between uniform random vectors, respectively. We investigate the properties of the interpoint distances among uniform random vectors and obtain their distributions and characteristic functions under FGM and independence copulas. We compare the performance of the proposed tests with two existing statistics under the hypothesis of uniformity and obtain their empirical power under various alternatives in a Monte Carlo study.
