Hometown: Hanover, MarylandAt UMBC, JaQuon discovered how research could change the world. He found a supportive community in the McNair Scholars Program, which helped him develop a passion for conducting research on challenging and meaningful topics that would benefit society. A member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, JaQuon looks forward to studying the mental health of adolescent black males in the inner city as a McNair Fellow at George Washington University in the fall.
