Sequence Comparison Tool


 
  This tool compares the codon usage of a synthetic gene with its natural counterpart in the SGDB.

Step 1: Specify the sequences you want to compare:

1a. If you know the synthetic gene ID in SGDB, enter it here then
1b. Otherwise, enter the gene name AND
Paste the nucleotide sequence of the synthetic gene below

Step 2: Specify the genetic code:

3a. From a codon preference table on our server

3b. From a codon preference table saved from the CAI Calculator.
3c. A customized codon preference table (GCG format). Codons are weighted by "Fraction" (see an example input below).
