Cuyahoga Sustainability Network
The Cuyahoga Sustainability Network is focused on key information needs to support sustainable
land transformations. The CSN applied research is targeted to addressing information needs
linking economic sustainability, environmental sustainability, and social sustainability in
sustainable decision-making. We are target in particular questions that pose a barrier to
sustainable decision making in (1) choosing sustainable technologies for urban stormwater
management; (2) science-based understanding of riparian function and riparian setback zoning;
(3) economic sustainability of development forms such as conservation design and new urbanism,
and development ordinances such as riparian setback zoning.

The education and outreach components of the Cuyahoga Sustainability Network are disseminated
through the world wide web, technical reports and peer reviewed publications, workshops and
demonstrations, and technology transfer to regional partners and stakeholders.
