The Center for Women and Information Technology (CWIT) and Scholarships in Information Technology and Engineering (SITE) hosted its 7th annual Scholars Reception on Wednesday, October 8, 2008. The event was held to welcome the incoming class and to celebrate the success of returning Scholars. Formally called the "CWIT Scholars Reception", the name was proudly changed to the "CWIT/SITE Scholars Reception" when CWIT introduced a new scholarship program, SITE, two years ago. CWIT and SITE currently provide scholarships and program support for over 50 undergraduate students in the fields of computer engineering, computer science, information systems, mechanical engineering, and chemical engineering.
