SITE Scholars Program
Program Description

The SITE (Scholarships in Information Technology and Engineering) Scholars Program is a National Science Foundation funded grant that aims to benefit academically talented students showing financial need. The scholarships range up to the full cost of tuition per year for a maximum of two years. Scholarships are available to students in the following majors: Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Mechanical Engineering. Scholars are provided a faculty mentor who will guide them throughout their college careers, providing academic support, career advice, and other resources pertinent to a scholar’s success. Monthly meetings assure that the scholar is performing well in important areas needed for one’s achievement in an academically rigorous environment. Study groups amongst scholars are also arranged to foster academic success and cooperative learning. Current scholars have excelled in the academic and professional setting, securing internships at businesses such as Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, T. Rowe Price, and more. Numerous resources are provided to give scholars an edge in today’s competitive job market.
