Speakers Bureau

The Center for Women and Information Technology’s Speakers Bureau has been developed to work with middle and high schools and community colleges to provide a professional IT woman and a CWIT Scholar to area classrooms. Together the team will make a half-hour presentation opening with the video You Can Be Anything. The speakers participating in this program are women leaders in IT who have experience talking with students and want to encourage girls’ full participation in IT, no matter what their career choice. CWIT Scholars are academically talented young women and men majoring in computer science, computer engineering, or information systems at UMBC.

If you would like to have a speaker in your classroom, please e-mail cwit@umbc.edu or call 410-455-2822 and speak to Bria McElroy.
