DECLARATION OF AGREEMENT: WOMEN AND ICT

This Declaration of Agreement was developed by multiple organizations around the world under the leadership of the Center for Women and Information Technology (CWIT) in support of women and their access, use, development, and design of ICT and their advancement in ICT careers. The concept of the Declaration of Agreement originated from the International Symposium on Women and ICTs, which was held in June 2005 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The consensus reached among the 250 participants representing 28 countries was that a Declaration of Agreement among stakeholders would enhance women and ICT development efforts and encourage sharing information and resources.
