Beginning Fall 2013, the Professional Master’s in Cybersecurity Program will be offered at UMBC at The Universities at Shady Grove, located in Rockville, MD. The program provides advanced instruction in analyzing cybersecurity risks and assessing available countermeasures, while exposing them to practical managerial and operational considerations needed to conduct cybersecurity activities for large organizations.

Washington, D.C. and points south
College Park heading toward Frederick
Hagerstown/Frederick and points west
Baltimore and points north

From Washington, D.C. and points south:

  • Take I-95/495 N toward Baltimore/Silver Spring.
  • Merge onto I-495 toward Silver Spring and follow to I-270 N.
  • Take the MD-28 W, exit 6B, towards Darnestown.
  • Merge onto W. Montgomery Ave./MD-28 W.
  • Turn LEFT onto Darnestown Rd.

From College Park heading toward Frederick:

  • Take I-95/495 N toward Baltimore/Silver Spring.
  • Merge onto I-495 toward Silver Spring and follow to I-270 N.
  • Take the MD-28 W, exit 6B, towards Darnestown.
  • Merge onto W. Montgomery Ave./MD-28 W.
  • Turn LEFT onto Darnestown Rd.
  • Turn LEFT onto Shady Grove Rd.
  • Turn RIGHT onto Gudelsky Way.
  • Turn LEFT onto Gudelsky Dr.
  • Parking available in lots 1 and 2 on your left.

From Hagerstown/Frederick and points west:

  • Follow I-70 E to I-270 S.
  • Take I-270 to Exit 8, Shady Grove Road West.
  • Go 1.5 miles, cross Darnestown Road.
  • Turn RIGHT onto Gudelsky Way.
  • Turn LEFT onto Gudelsky Drive.
  • Parking available in lots 1 and 2 on your left.

From Baltimore and points north:

  • Take I-95 S toward Washington, D.C.
  • Take the I-495 W exit toward Silver Spring/Bethesda.
  • Merge onto the Capital Beltway (I-495) and proceed to I-270 N.
  • Take the MD-28 W, exit 6B, towards Darnestown.
  • Merge onto W. Montgomery Ave./MD-28 W.
  • Turn LEFT onto Darnestown Rd.
  • Turn LEFT onto Shady Grove Rd.
  • Turn RIGHT onto Gudelsky Way.

To use the ICC (Inter County Connector) From 95 or 29, take the following:
  • NOTE: ICC is a toll road/E-ZPass Route.
  • Take MD 200/Toll Road Inter County Connector (ICC) West.
  • Continue onto Sam Eig Highway (Sam Eig ends at Great Seneca).
  • Make a left at Great Seneca Highway.
  • Make a left onto Darnestown Road.
  • Make a right onto Traville Gateway Drive.
  • Enter Shady Grove Parking Garage on the left.

From Annapolis and other points east:

  • Follow US 50 W to I-95 N/I-495 N toward Baltimore/Silver Spring.
