PeopleSoft KnowledgeBase

The PeopleSoft KnowledgeBase is the new PeopleSoft End-User platform for learning how to use PeopleSoft. The KnowledgeBase is divided into two separate tools; a task-based end-users manual, and an interactive , provides a single portal to both the PeopleSoft End-Users Manual, and the Interactive PeopleSoft training plan.

You can access the Knowledgebase by either the UMBC PeopleSoft Delta Initiative website, or directly via www.umbc.edu/peoplesoft.

PeopleSoft End-Users Manual

The PeopleSoft End-Users Manual is a task based manual organized into two main categories: Finance and Human Resources. Within each category are subcategories, which further organize data into task related questions and answers.

Selecting a sub-category from the menu displays the list of related task-related questions. Selecting a question from the list displays the answer in the main window.

PeopleSoft Training Plan

Selecting the PeopleSoft Training Information option from the KnowledgeBase Home Page opens the interactive PeopleSoft Training Plan, which displays both PeopleSoft Curriculum. The Training Plan provides a list of currently offered courses as well as courses that are planned for development over the next six months. The legend in the bottom right of the Training Plan assists users in identifying those courses that are currently offered, and those that are scheduled to be released in the near future.

Selecting a currently offered (in green) course in the curriculum opens the course overview for the selected course. The course overview includes details about the course, intended audience, prerequisites for the course, course objectives, and links to the course materials (if available), and to the training registration page.
