    UMBC Teacher Education Scholarship Programs  
The UMBC Department of Education has several prestigious teacher education scholarship programs designed to support highly qualified teacher candidates. UMBC is committed to supporting future teachers in their preparation for a teaching career; particularly those individuals committed to addressing critical shortage and high-needs areas and underserved student populations.

The Department of Education Scholarship Committee is accepting applications for its 2014-15 scholarship awards.

Additional scholarships and funding opportunities may be available from other agencies. Teacher candidates are encouraged to research other options in addition to submitting an application for the UMBC teacher education scholarship programs.

Graduate Assistantships

The UMBC Department of Education graduate assistantships are available to qualified full-time, degree seeking students who are making satisfactory progress toward their degree. Letters of interest and resumes should be submitted to the Department of Education's Graduate Program Director.
